Africa’s smartphone market rebounded strongly in 3Q25, with shipments rising 24% year on year to reach 22.8 million units—its first double-digit growth after five consecutive quarters of slowdown, according to Omdia. The quarter delivered a rare dual surge: sub-$100 smartphones jumped 57%, the fastest pace in three quarters, while devices priced above $500 expanded by 52%.
